Here is a nice Vintage Spencer Microscope for your buying consideration.  Would make a great gift or keep for yourself!
Nice Vintage Spencer Microscope with Wood Carrying Case for you here.  The base has a serial number of 30703 on it.  The microscope was made in Buffalo, NY.  Has three lenses installed on the rotation dial.  There are two top lens, a 6x and 10x.  No other lenses in the case.  What you see in the pics is what you are buying.  A serial number of 265289 on the body of the microscope, along with the maker which is incised into the body.  "Made in USA" is incised on the bottom of the legs of the microscope.
Knobs all work to make focus adjustments.  Nice attachment to microscope for delicately moving the specimen plates around.
Some loss of finish to the nickel plated and black enamel metal plating.
The case has a black faux colored finish on it.  The door is securely attached to the case by the hinge.  The lock is still with the wood case (just detached from it in a bad), no key comes with it.  The lenses are all intact, not cracked or blistered, they do need a good cleaning. The handle on the top of the case has been replaced with a chain.
The microscope is about 13" tall with the lenses down to viewing platform.  The wood case is 15" tall, by 8.5" across, by 8.75" wide.
