Vintage Miniature Dollhouse Character Doll Artisan Sherri Colvin UK King Henry VIII OOAK
This is an incredible, vintage artisan-crafted sculpted dollhouse doll King Henry VIII character,
who ended up embarking upon a religious reformation, cracking down on dissent and marrying a grand total of six wives
. This doll has been amazingly constructed with clothing, jewelry and facial hair styled to look just like the portrait of the hulking ginger-haired King, himself. His costume includes fabulous details including silk, velvet, and fur. He was made with love by the miniature artisan Sherri Colvin. This is a OOAK piece.  Even his actual skin color is very similar to what he would have looked like at this age.
This wonderful little miniature was from a collection, 40 years in the making.  Every collection has a story and this one is well, just wonderfully special. I was surprised to see such a tiny home with so many minis, the story behind the person, is that she lived a grand life in a large home, she traveled the world in search for artisan miniatures and boy did she find them.  This collection is so vast, it features miniatures from artisans
Herbillon, Alan Barnes, John Hodgson, Targoni, Ligia, Wonnacott, Jim Irish, William Robertson, Cristina Noriega, Harry Smith, Ernie Levy, Robert Dawson, Keith Bougourd, Maritza Moran, Neil Batson, Susanne Russo, Acquisto, Renee Isabelle, Kupjack, O'meara, Obadiah Fisher, EM Silver, Marcia Backstrom, Wee Forest Folk, Henry Staring-Egberts, Tricia Street, Le Chateau, Ana Felipe, Christopher Whitford, Christine Dell'Anna, Paula Gilhooley, Almudena Gonzalez and more.  All of these artisans have been amazing to discover, but what was so 'wonderfully' special to me, was in the last years of her life, she sold her estate, moved to a small home and surrounded herself with all of the things that made her happy...her miniatures and  I know she would want each piece to find a wonderful new collection to reside within.  It will take a few weeks to do all the listings, I will have Buy It Now items as well.  Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
