    Description

    This medallion pin is fashioned from a vintage 1” brass lucky piece fashioned after a 1600- 1700 Hungarian coin produced in Kremintz, Hungary, designed by Hungarian engraver Christian Herman Roth. One side depicted Patron Saint George, slaying the dragon ( S. georgius Equitum Patronus), and back says in Latin, (in Tempestate Securitas) or Safety in the Storm.     The actual age of this token is impossible for me to tell. It was “skeletonized” after manufacture in order to be more decorative, and then made into a pin.
