Signed Artist Cathy Hansen 1991 Dollhouse Miniature Gorgeous Bisque Half Doll

One of my most recent estate sale adventures led me to a collector of who seemed to enjoy many artist and reproduction dolls, amongst other things. I selected a few of those that were well made examples of antique German and French dolls. I’m especially drawn to the wee ones, as you see here:
Here we have a gorgeous, signed Cathy Hansen bisque half doll scaled for a dollhouse! As shown, she is presented as a half doll, but she is likely part of an assembly to complete a dollhouse doll of about 5 1/2” tall. I believe she would have had a lower torso and upper legs of stuffed cloth, with porcelain bisque lower legs. She is stunning in her execution, with beautifully hand painted facial features, and the application of her tiny wig. The hair is drawn up in a pretty way to frame her face, while cascading down the back in long blonde ringlets. She is gracefully modeled and has peg jointed arms at the shoulders. As measured, she is 2 1/2” tall from the bottom edge of her torso to the top of her head, with her delicate arms extending long past her waistline. The doll is hand incised ‘Cathy Hansen 1991’ on her back.
