Unique pair of antique Victorian men's, or women's, green woolen button down, spats, gaiters, or leggings in absolute mint condition. These show little signs of use, and are possibly surplus from WWI or Spanish American War. They have 9 glass buttons, and an extra "10th button" sewn on between the first two. Japanned iron buckle with a leather reinforced strap. The buckles and straps are the only parts that may exhibit wear, from maybe, one use. Marked on the inside with the number 10374 4 (very military like) and a hard to decipher name, like Crystal or Capitol? One also has an illegible 2" diameter orange circular marking. Measure about 10" laid flat & open, 9 1/2" front, and 7 1/2" back. I have no idea how to size these, but they appear to be quite small. Made of a heavy weight, olive, woolen material similar to US Army blankets and uniforms of that era. Free of any damage or odors! From my 97 year old grandmothers estate (passed in 1979).
