Selling are 4 advertisement pages for:
Land Rover
from 1972-74
These 4 half-page advertisements are by British Leyland, maker of the Land Rover 4x4.
The similar ads have a B&W photo or drawing of the Land Rover out in the wilds.
1st ad’s text starts “We believe the Land Rover record for elephant gorings is two” and goes on about the car.
2nd one: “There are three ways of getting to South America. By plane, ship or Land Rover.”
3rd one: “With a Land Rover you can rub elbows with the natives of New England. Or New Guinea.” Ad 2 and 3 have the same photo, showing the Land Rover’s front coming through tall grass.
4th one: “The fully-equipped Land Rover. 99, Mystique and all”. This one has a line-drawing showing the full car.
The ads are half page (vertical), approx. 3” x 10”, carefully removed from 1972 (#1), 1973 (#2&3) and 1974 (#4) magazines. I’ll send the full pages.
