    ARTIFACT:
    This is a circa 1933-1938 badge for the French Army's 110th Infantry Regiment. This regiment took over the flag and curried the traditions of the 73rd Regiment of Bethune, which was dissolved after World War I. The badge is shield-shaped and enameled in blue, white and red. The badge reads 110e 73 and shows a soldier riding a "cocotte" (resembling and origami bird) through the air like a horse.
    VINTAGE:
    Circa 1933-1938.
    SIZE:
    Approximately 1-1/4” in height and 1-3/16” in width.
    CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS:
    Gold-plated brass with enamel.
    ATTACHMENT:
    Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.
    MARKINGS:
    A. (?) CHOBILLON PALAIS-ROYAL.
