  • Condition: This 1:12 scale miniature elegant burl wood bow front chest was handcrafted by vintage, long retired artisan Stan Gould of northern California. Purchased over two decades ago as new/old stock, this incredibly detailed and beautiful piece boasts easy to open drawers with a gentle tap or two on the back, Suzanne Russo batwing brasses, exquisite carving,and signature and date etched into the back near the bottom of the body. Please note a very slight nick in the front top ledge original to the piece and ever-soslight gapping in back due to warpage from age. Not noticeable if displayed properly and price compensated. This piece is stunning with a varied medium soft reddish-brown patina of burl wood everywhere except the back panel. Mr. Gould made very few pieces but he was very skilled. The burl wood has a traditional lovely marbled look to it. Simply stunning, gently used, unique and ideal for any vintage or elegant setting. Measurements shown in the last few frames.

These items are inappropriate for children under age twelve, as most are very delicate and intended for display only. They are in gently used condition.
