Stalin inaugurates Rs 330 crore Tidel Park in Tamil Nadu, creating 6,000 IT jobs

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Friday inaugurated a 21-story Tidel Park in Pattabiram, near Avadi in Chennai, built at a cost of Rs 330 crore. The state-of-the-art facility aims to foster the growth of the information technology (IT) sector in northern Tamil Nadu, marking a significant milestone in the state’s development agenda.
Spread across a sprawling 5.57 lakh square feet, the Tidel Park is expected to create 6,000 jobs in the IT and IT-enabled Services (ITeS) sector in its initial phase, the government announced. This is the third major Tidel Park in the state, following those established in Chennai and Coimbatore.
The new facility boasts ample parking, 100% Diesel Generator (DG) power backup, a multi-cuisine food court, an auditorium, and a gym, underscoring its modern amenities. The project represents the Dravidian model of development by extending economic opportunities to tier-II and tier-III cities.
Sharing the achievement on X, Stalin said, “In 2000, Thalaivar Kalaignar laid the foundation for Tamil Nadu’s IT revolution by inaugurating the first TIDEL Park in Chennai. Today, I proudly inaugurated a towering 21-storey TIDEL Park at Avadi (Pattabiram), creating opportunities for 6,000 professionals and boosting growth in northern parts.”
He added, “This iconic structure, along with other Neo TIDEL Parks, reflects the Dravidian Model’s vision of inclusive and equitable development for our State.”
The government views the facility as a step toward ensuring balanced economic growth across regions, with a special focus on integrating northern Tamil Nadu into the state’s IT landscape.
